Kearns Capital downgraded NN to "accumulate" from "buy." Merril Lynch maintained "near-term neutral," and a "long-term accumulate" ratings. On the other hand, BancBoston reiterated a "buy" rating. While I'm not evaluating the reputations of any of the above firms/ratings, all three firms probably listened to the conference call.

Everything comes down to consistency of execution and credibility, and, for the time being, NN just does not cut it.
