Have any of you ever experienced this? One of my cats is learning very distinct meows from the other! I have two cats, one is a male "double thumbed" Snowshoe, the other is a male Champagne Tonkinese. (I rescued both from the MSPCA, a few years ago) They have completely different personalities, and completely different "voices."
Sneakers, the Snowshoe, is a real sweety, and speaks in multi-syallabic, sing song phrases. Cleo, the Tonk, is a rascal, has lots of alley-cat-mouser in him, and he meows in short, throaty mono-syllables. We can always tell them apart when they are out of sight, by their meows. Until today... I swear, Sneakers, who usually sings up a storm at feeding time, was using Cleo's short, grunty "mwow" when I opted to make a pot of coffee instead of opening their can of food! Sure got my attention.
Cheers,
