AMD warned a big loss again!!! biz.yahoo.com Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) 18 3/16 -1 11/6: chip maker warns of a Q2 loss of at least $200 mln, on sales of less than $600 mln. AMD blames expected shortfall on decline in average selling price (ASP) for K6 chips and weaker than expected unit sales. Wall Street was expecting loss of $0.40 a share for the qtr. Based on current number of shares outstanding: AMD's quarterly loss would exceed $1 per share. But, again, AMD's W.J. Sanders III is trying to make you believe this massive loss is related to some one-time events! Now, it's a matter of whether AMD is going to low teen or "single digit"!
