Thanks Henry. I was reading up on Josef's leaving SI, and although I didn't know him well, I appreciated his work and his posts. I think it is sad to lose people from SI that really put their heart into it. I personally am not so disturbed by the Datek banner, but fear like many have speculated, what it might lead to. But I surely support you and anyone else that feels like it intrudes on the SI experience. I also understand those that feel that promises made have been broken. It does change the feel for all of us that have tried to help in the process of keeping the spam out of si. SI, itself, stated that they felt keeping spam out was a critical ingredient to setting us apart from the other message boards. But then spam is ok if it is sponsored by SI itself. Something is definitely amiss there.

I understand how Josef and others felt strongly that they had helped build SI into what it was, and then the program changed in pursuit of profit.

Anyway, my reaction is to be thankful to you, Josef, and hundreds of other core posters that work hard to make SI a place where people have been able to assemble for informed, polite debate and sharing of information and ideas. I have met some really fine people on SI, and hate to see some of the core stop posting or become dissatisfied. I don't know what else to offer than words of understanding and thanks.
