Carl,

Not to worry.... 'Next quarter will be better'....remember,
that's AMD's slogan. K7 will save the day, just like K5 and
K6 were suppose to be the savior. Like I said last quarter and
the quarter before.....AMD should only be obligated to warn WS
if they are going to report positive earnings.....anything
else is business as usual, although this time they have really
out done themselves.

-$1.XX is hard to fathom for even the biggest AMD critics.
This press release should not have been made during prime time
when children might be watching. Talk about obscene <gg>. This
is some business model Jerry has going. Fortunately for AMD, as
has been witnessed for years on this very thread, Jerry has an
endless stream of suckers to call on.

Oh well K7, will soon change everything.....and if you don't
believe me...just ask Jerry.

For those keeping track, here is the harsh reality:

96Q1 0.18
96Q2 -0.26
96Q3 -0.28
96Q4 -0.15
97Q1 0.09
97Q2 0.07
97Q3 -0.22
97Q4 -0.09
98Q1 -0.39
98Q2 -0.45
98Q3 0.01
98Q4 0.15
99Q1 -0.81
99Q2 -1.xx

Funny thing is, if you look back further, AMD use to be quite
profitable. That was before Jerry got the brainstorm strategy
of trying to take Intel head on with pricing.

Look for S&P to lower AMD's credit rating yet again, thus making
their debt even more costly.
