JFD, I don't mind a 1/4 rate hike. All the rumors we have been hearing are just nonsense--for example Ron Insana on CNBC stated one rumor was proved to be false (of a 1/2 point raise). The good thing about a little rate hike is that later, more room is made for a rate cut if one is required. Remember last year when we had that surprise rate cut and the market just took off. I like that kind of protective power with the Fed.
They are getting a little smarter. They don't want to be ridiculed for worrying about inflation when there is no proof of it. They will be "cautious" about any future hikes or even suggestions of them.
