I spent some time this late afternoon talking to some bond traders. They are telling me that people like Tommy Baldwin are betting that interest rates hit 7% very quickly. And these guys are usually very right very often, so it would not be impossible for LSI to take a significant drop simply because it is a very volatile stock (although not in RMBS territory). But subsequent to any sell off, LSI would be among the first to rebound given its superior fundamental outlook in the last half of '99. Thus, I believe that another '87 like sell-off is possible.

By the way, does anybody know anything about an SI Beta launch?
