Ward, If you've got a moment to answer another naive question. What is pre-open? I always thought the market simply opened? Is there actually trading taking place during this time? When I'm at home (the West Coast) and have a trading screen to look at (as opposed to now being in the wilderness of Manitoba), there are stocks trades being shown before the actual trading fills the screen at 6:30 a.m.
