Chief...Hope you don't mind, a couple of more pennies worth on cross's and block trades....

Warrants and or options being exercised in one trade rather than flooding a market... Usually occurs in companies that are "for real" rather than the "hopeful ones"... If it's "a hopeful one" it may signify the start of a promotion of sorts...

Financing purposes...

A block of stock may be crossed as a short position against delivery of shares issued, especially if the trade occurs at or near the end of restriction period...

Insider's may cross out their own shares at a slightly higher price point to lending institutions/individuals with the knowledge of obtaining more shares at a lower price level, therefore maintaining their control positions in a company and the lending institution/individual having free trading shares in order to do what he/she please's....

An individual may want to consider at what price level the cross or block trade is done at, in relation the current share value on a chart and whether or not there is an apparent share value change, in either direction, after the trade has been completed...

In any case, crosses and block trades are conducted for a number of reasons known only to the individuals that conduct them...

The ones that are conducted at a bottom of a 52 week chart sure get my attention for a couple of days anyways...

"No momo" after the trade, usually means "no promo"...<ggg>
