Like I said goose, i can't disagree with the ease of use interface that aol provides to newbies, but pioneers start with an advantage and that advantage is always exploited by new players. I believe my Apple/MSFT analogy is quite valid here. Yu have to be careful when you here the kind of bullish comments on AOL in early April that all the good news has been discounted in the stock.

The market place changes.
The technology area changes more rapidly,
the internet changes exponentially.

I don't really believe that traditional ideas about mindshare, marketshare, and customer retention will hold true in the internet arena as the software and the technology is a great leveler of the playing field.
