PHILIPPINE UPDATE...

YAHOO Message #1303 of 1308

Early on, I informed everyone of a very sensitive political environment in the Philippines... Fortunately for all, my patience has been well served, and we just witnessed the signing of the "Clean Air Act" into law by President Joseph E. Estrada. It took longer than anticipated; yet it is a milestone achievement towards future implementation of Thermo Master plants in the Republic of the Philippines.

Lobbyists of Oil Company's and Incinerator groups against this particular legislation spent significant monies. Although as you view the links below, you will learn that their lobbying was unsuccessful and the Incinerator Groups have just been ousted from the country. This new law gives my/our program a green light to proceed unfettered.

Please don't misunderstand the above statement…there is still a lot of work to be performed with the Senate, House of Representatives, and the Congress (regarding the "Solid Waste Management Act") and it will take some time, but our competition has just been greatly reduced and/or eliminated. I am hoping to obtain the necessary ECC (Environmental Clearance Certificate) from the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) within a month or so, and still look forward to a successful implementation of Thermo Tech's technology throughout the Philippines.

In the future, I am expecting the local papers to post specific articles and news releases naming Thermo Tech Technologies, Inc. and its process… As they become available, I will post the links for all to view.

Sincerely,

Mark Anderson
