I have coms through usrx, and I will personally stay away from networking stocks right now. But should you decide to buy coms do it through usrx. The reason: According to the merger agreement for each share of USRX you will get 1.75 shares of COMS. So now if you take COMS's bid price (for example today it is at $31 1/8) and multiply that by 1.75 you get $56.22 which should be the bid price of USRX. But if you look at USRX's bid price it is at $54 1/8 or about $2 1/8 below its fair bid value. And this has been the case ever since the merger announcement. and I have no idea why! So if you buy USRX and then when the merger is finalized you end up getting more shares of COMS than if you bought COMS now directly. But again and I think all networking stocks will go lower and are too volatile right now (but then again all techs seem to be that way now). both COMS and CSCO IMHO are great buys right now but you 'may' get them at better bargains soon. But again 99.9% I maybe wrong because these stocks have already been beaten so badly. Tomorrow and Friday will be interesting. COMS will announce their earnings report after the market close tomorrow. The expectations are for 46 cents/shr, but I have no idea what the 'whisper' expectations are. Someone on another thread told me it should be lower than 46 cents. I hope so!
