I disagree Michael. These results were no big surprise, and in fact were better than the bears here were predicting. How can you call it a total disaster? There are many in DRAM hurting much worse than MU at these prices, but no one seriously expected them to make money this quarter. As for the cash flow, the cash flow from operations is about equal to new equipment acquisitions, so they are hanging on to their bucks. They did build some inventory, but it was not as much as I expected based on what Kip said.

Was this a great quarter? No. Was it a total disaster? No. It was just business as usual in a tough quarter in a tough business. Will next quarter be better? No. Will things be better in 6 months or a year? Now we're getting to a more important question. Tell me how the market will answer that question and I'll tell you which way it will move tomorrow and the day after.

Does anyone have a conference call number? I'd have a better idea how the analysts reacted to the earnings if I listened to the replay. Without that I suppose my prediction for tomorrow would be a dip in the morning followed by a rally later in the day, but who really knows? Not me right now...

Carl
