I have been reading the discussion today on Rambus, and put my 2 cents in also. I think the post on the Dell decision to use the chip was valuable.
I am convinced, as of now, that this company has not crossed the Chasm. This is exactly the kind of company, IMO, that, if it went south, you could lose your butt!
It's not a matter of being right or wrong. Under our definitions, it is too early to invest in it.
The point is, You can make as much, or more money on the Gorillas we are in, without the risk! I bought into Q 60 days ago, when I knew it had crossed the Chasm, and would explode, and I am up 73% on it, risk free, by my definition of risk.
I would rather make my bucks now on these type of companies, and add Rambus, (at a much higher price, I know,) when the risk is gone. I don't give a damn how high it will have gone, all I care is, how much higher can it go, and how fast?
That, to me, is the beauty of what we are doing here. |
