You could get in trouble tonight on this thread for finding something positive in the MU earnings announcement. <G>

All I keep hearing about is how "just one of these quarters" MU is really going to shock the street with losses. Well, I am still waiting. They were suppose to "shock" the street this quarter according to resident bear Mr. Skeeter.

Another non-shocker is how poorly AMD is doing in competing against Intel. I have built both AMD based and Intel based systems, and the Intel systems (processor, motherboard, chipsets) are by a wide margin, faster, more stable, and easier to implement than the AMD crapola. And of course we'll all hearing about how bad this is for Intel that AMD can't compete with its 4 year old designed Socket 7 processors. Perhaps I'll be able to buy the dip tomorrow in Intel too.

Here is my list of real crappy companies that deserve a slow death:

Compaq (CPQ) an absolutely garbage company with garbage products
Diamond (DIMD) not even worth talking about it is so poorly managed
3COM (COMS) a company without innovation
AMD (AMD) see above statement
Inacom, etc., etc

What the bears mistakenly do is look at these crap companies and then judge the entire industry by them. That's like judging Dell's future by Packard Bell's crappy customer service and declining sales. <G>
