Ah, George, there's the rub. Once again you prove that you are more a parrot than an original thinker. Moreover, the last time I checked, in this country people are innocent until proven guilty. Do I know why the SEC did what they did, other than what they have said publicly? No, nor do you nor anyone else you know. Oh, sure, you've no doubt heard opinions, etc., but if someone is claiming that they know with certainty why the SEC acted the way it did, we'd all like to know too, of course.
Do some research on SEC suspensions and try to find another company that was in effect "penalized" like DCI. I haven't had the time to dig through all of them on the SEC site, so for all I know, perhaps others have been similarly "charged," but from what I have seen, it strikes me that DCI's pooling "error," to the extent it was, falls far short of the grounds cited in at least a few other suspensions. Again, I haven't had time to wade through them all, but I'd venture a guess that you haven't looked at any of them. The old Congressional investigator in me tells me that there's more here than meets the eye.
Did DCI management make mistakes? Indeed, IMO! Ah, magic glasses called hindsight! Choosing to invite certain individuals into their confidence has proven to be the gravest of all, but alas, we are all guilty of such mistakes, are we not? A seeming random business direction? I agree, but the current course is a pretty decent one, at least in the eyes of those willing to look objectively. You rail against those who you condemn for placing too much faith in management and ignoring mistakes, etc., but you are equally guilty, in that you condemn at every turn while ignoring management's successes. Moreover, you condemn in ignorance, as your opinions are built on the foundation of others' views. A common occurrence, granted, particularly relative to SI, but at least be honest about it. Time will tell whose foundation is made of rock and whose is made of sand. |
