I was never opposed to buying back shares @ well below market price in a private transaction. I loved it when they bailed out some fund @ $0.10/share and they just made me at least another $.08. What is there not to like? However, I still think announcing buyback of its shares in the open market is a bad idea and seriously doubt it will ever happen (especially since the sale of the company one way or another is imminent).
