I continue to have some difficulty with the technical definition of SAN and NAS but I have been able to differentiate between them in a way I can understand - cost!

A SAN can run $50 to $75K (or more) while the NAS can be as low as $1K.

No I don't think Seagate will preannounce. I expect them to be very close to the guidance they offered in the last earnings report.
