You're reading my mind, BG :-) Quite some time ago I had CONW pegged as a great merger target. Sure enough they merged into PSC last year...alas, I did not buy, so I can't claim bragging rights. My biggest mistake with waters was listening to commentary from Value Line. They never got it - viewed waters in terms of dividend, for the most part - and IMO they still don't get it.

PSC remains an interesting stock too, as they remain acquisitive, with Vivendi owning a healthy chunk of the company as well. And we can't forget AWK.

BTW, There was a good article about water stocks in "Equity", a finance magazine targeted for women, free with my Worth subscription. Aside from one article that had a somewhat feminist bent to it, the magazine is a good one. The article did not mention UWR but did mention American States Water and some water testing/purification stocks I believe have been mentioned here.
