<..What is OC3?..> It is a speed rating (usually associated with optical cabling or fiber) of 155Mbps. The P-P radios that WCII uses from P-COM (in conjunction with Siemens) are their DS3s which offer 45Mbps. WCII recently announced an OC3 P-P relationship with Giganet, for those customers who need dedicated P-P bandwidth. biz.yahoo.com For their P-MP rollout later this year, they will likely use OC-3s from Hughes. P-COM just doesn't have the stuff, so I doubt they will see much if any more business from WCII at this point. Their future looks tenuous to me and am not involved (considered shorting on last runup, but didn't). Their financials are troubling and doesn't seem like their tech will bail them out. P-P DS3s are yesterday's tech, and their P-P OC-3 effort apparently is significantly lacking. P-MP is harder yet to do, and I'm not aware of any PCMS effort there. Maybe somebody buys them, but IF it happened (and I don't expect it), I doubt it'd be at much if any premium to current levels.
