Here is the NEWS release..

June 24, 1999 08:32 AM
BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1999--Internet Media Corp. USRF today reported the successful deployment of a US.RF(TM) Quick-Cell(TM) Wireless CLEC Internet kit, in Los Alamos, N.M. A single company representative installed the US.RF Quick-Cell Wireless Internet System and deployed a two-way wireless ISDN-equivalent speed dedicated Internet business connection. The Wireless Internet access system is currently serving a company located in Los Alamos.

"While this first customer only had a need for an ISDN-speed Internet connection, the US.RF Quick-Cell Wireless Internet System is capable of burstable T-1 equivalent speeds and enables Internet Media to offer T-1-equivalent bandwidth in the Los Alamos and Santa Fe markets at a price about 40% below the local market price of traditional, hard-wire T-1 service provided by companies such as US West USW ," said Darrell Davis, Internet Media's Region Manager. "The most exciting part of the Quick-Cell system is that our customer's Internet connection runs smoothly and it is no longer dependent on the local phone company for a line to the Internet." Davis also stated that Internet Media is set to establish ISDN and T-1-equivalent speed service for business customers in Los Alamos, as well as in Santa Fe, N.M. In addition, Internet Media expects to have its Quick-Cell system deployed in Las Vegas, N.M., within the next two weeks.
