Obewon, thanks for the article address, and may the force be with you!

The article analysis of 1997 market releases is a little shortsighted. It emphasises the DVD and MMX releases, which everyone knows is going to be slow out of the gate.

It ignores that there have been FIVE new version releases, an Internet based new version and a new product release within the last 4 months, as well as the impending DVD and MMX releases. Plus, the CEO of TLC has "promised" 6 new product releases this quarter. (Hmmmm!? The clock is ticking on this one!).

TLC has about two weeks to announce the 6 new product releases, if they are going to be on time. Anybody have any idea of what effect "6 new quality releases" would have on their stock price? Of course, we are all a little nervous about their 1st qtr earnings, also.

Also, their International sales grew by 100% in 1996, as they are newly converting current titles into these foreign markets! I feel that the International Market is probably going to be their growth market of the future.

All in all, that is a lot to leave out of MSNBC's article. The article makes it seem that all TLC has going for it is DVD and MMX releases.

They also gained a lot of programming talent with their acquisitions. The CEO said that their 1996 projects will bear fruit in the 1st quarter of 1997. Hopefully, he is at least half right on that.
