No I am not saying for TA to work there has to be a leak. TA works in the absence of news. If you haven't tried using TA I wouldn't knock it, but I'd suggest that for short term trading, if you aren't using it, you will get slaughtered. Everybody isn't using it but a lot are which makes getting orders filled at certain price levels very competitive to say the least.
