NewKidCo International to Participate in Investor Event in New York
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1999--NewKidCo International Inc. (OTC BB:NKCIF)(TSE:NKC) will be among 80 growth companies to meet with the investment community June 24th at Discovery Expo '99 at the New York Hilton and Towers.

This emerging publisher and marketer of young children's video-game software aims at a market of 24 million US kids between the ages of three to eight years. In the $5 billion video-game market, which grew about 35% in 1998, NewKidCo serves segments with high barriers to entry and relatively few competitors.

NewKidCo bases its games on well-known licensed characters such as Elmo(R) from Sesame Street(R) and the leading young girls' character, Hello Kitty(R). It markets primarily to parents and recently announced a worldwide distribution agreement with The Learning Company, a division of Mattel. The company reported a profitable first quarter and recently completed a private placement of securities to raise $10 million.
