Only bet. 1949 and 1959. And not on the basis to sell China. That was called "brotherly co-operations bet. socialist countries", in case you don't know that. Soviets did not gain anything from its helping of China. But when it really demanded something, China broke up with it. "Hanjian" means you get profit, can be in any forms, by selling your own countrymen. GuoMinDang did a lot of this kind of things, hope your parents not among them.
