I agree with you about the 1/4pt increase. Greenspan would not pass up a chance to 'tap the brakes' without causing a ruckus.
I remember about 5-6 weeks ago when the April CPI # came out and the big question on CNBC was 'is this enough to cause the FED to raise 1/4 pt?' Now we have talk of the FED raising three times (3/4 pt). What data has come out since the April CPI # to validate three quarter point moves by the FED? Nothing!!! 1/4pt is all we get on the 30th...I am a bit concerned about the bias though. Maintaining a tightening bias kind of scares me, and possibly the market.
I'll tell you what if we get a 1/4 pt and a neutral bias we are of to the races DOW 12500;NAZ 3000...BIG RALLY. How do you say it? OOoooohhhh Yeeeeaaaahhhhh!!!!!
