Tejek,

Re:" Yes you are right on all points but intc is not impervious....they do have shareholders and a board of directors. Which do you think an intc shareholder would prefer: a prosperous AMD and not as but still prosperous intc or two companies that are both struggling financially? And also remember intc has more to lose....it will do this price war only so long as their bottom line is hurt marginally; anything more and forget it. In spite of rumors to the contrary, intc does screw up and is vulnerable."

My investment thesis is that they will both do well once sanity prevails.

Obviously once the personal nature of the battle softens (andy and jerry retire) they can live quite well with great returns for both companies.

I happen to think AMD has more upside right now, although I will buy some Intel later this year, well before willy and merced hype shows up.

Hopefully I can pick up intel well below $50.

And yes everybody screw up even Intel, but I would not base an investment on assuming they will do so on a continual basis.

Regards,

Kash.
