Mohan, let me help out. As the Asian and Japan economies recover, they will use more resources...for example oil. This will cause the price of commodities to go up. This put pressure on the dirty word...inflation. The threat of inflation causes bond yields to go up. This put pressure on the stock market, etc. As the value of assets decline in the U.S., we spend less money and buy less domestic and imported products, and so the beat goes on. Hope I'm clear in this brief explanation.
