Duke, Tough call by CPQ. I think they need the money. In a way, they did what was necessary to stay focused in their core business, which is selling computers, not competing with other search engines like Yahoo and Lycos. Search engines can become a passing fad (in terms of generating revenues) soon, so we'll see if they made the right call. For now, it looks like CMGI got themselves a bargain :-)
