ahhaha - I'm just curious about the % of equities that are bought by MMs (Merrill Lynch, pension plans, etc) vs the average on line investor. There seems to be a popular conception that the investments of "average people" doing on line trading are a significant factor. I'm sure that although the number of online trades may be growing very rapidly, the dollar volume of all on line traders is extremely small compared to the MMs. Any idea what the dollar volume comparison is and where this trend will take us?
