Pardon me for butting into this group, but something has been puzzling me. AMD would seem to be a doubtful threat to INTC in spite of their technological prowess in design because of their really poor track record in production and production planning. Why is only AMD the whipping boy here? Is the gigahertz Alpha not a competitor to Intel, and if it is not, why not? In the server market isn't SUNW a competitor? As an Intel investor I really would like to have a better appreciation of the threats on the horizon. TIA Jim W.
