When they started trading Comex Gold on the Sydney Futures exchange in 1986-87, I went down to the exchange floor to watch the Guys from NY. start off the action, they had flown over to Sydney from NY as a promotional deal to commence the linked exchanges. Anyway, several of the guys were so laden down in chunky Gold Chains, Rings and Jewelry, that I was wondering how they were going to get there hands up in the air to signal the bids and asks -ng- Ho Ho Ho
