Re: "stock price vs company fundamentals."

While I do not necessarily disagree with what you say I would like to add one observed opinion.

It is not so much the difference between the company and the stock valuation that I personally find in a quandary but the dissemination and timing of those so few influential investors (know to us as analysts) who seem to have all the tools of media and institutional backing that makes it all seem unfair to the rest of us.

For example Dell stock may start out it's trading on a valuation trend ...then suddenly start dropping...you look around and find the only reason is because some influential broker analysts has come out with a downgrade...and then in addition days and weeks later other's start on the bandwagon repeating the same warning over and over and seemingly each time at the moment the stock is on a comeback. It's as if all those broker's, institutions or analysts have shorted the stock and cannot or will not allow the collective investors give the stock a rise.

As if all this normal shenanigans weren't bad enough, the current interest worries in the markets adds to those trying to thrust their influence on their positions. And some see them taking every disadvantage at the expense of the honest and seemingly unaware everyday investor. And that is where I feel the seeming "hate" is felt when a frustrated patient investor can no longer sit back and accept it a just another normal day in the name of investing.
