I am speechless. Hello Mohan: Have you heard this CD... "Shri Durga" DJ Cheb i Sabbah amazon.com Algerian-born DJ Cheb i Sabbah mixes the drone and ragas of Indian classical music with dance beats and DJ mixing for an often-relaxing, often-uptempo blend of ancient and modern music on "Shri Durga." Rather than manipulating the recordings of his renowned Hindustani and Muslim collaborators, Cheb i Sabbah created a looping rhythmic landscape over which they sang, played, and prayed. An exceptional collection. The description reminds me of "Divinities, 12 dances with God" by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull group. From the Flap, "Ian Anderson.... drawing on his interest in comparative religious and cultural influence." The last track is titled In The Times Of India (Bombay Valentine).
