patents don't matter, collaborative filtering is a term used to describe how peoples' preferences are determined, recorded analyzed. this is usually done with the idea of providing a value proposition before they leave a website think of a realtime reporting engine connected with a webserver, tied into a call centre that's it...but why be so dramatic about it? just a thought ynot :) EDIT just saw your posts since you joined do you work in the industry? or for a VC? just wondering because you posted about netp bvsn abov corel the corel threw me :)
