Urban Juice and Soda is launching Jones Soda with Johnson Brothers Liquor Company for the states of Iowa and Alabama as well as for Orlando, Fla.
On Feb. 25, 1999, Urban Juice and Soda announced in Stockwatch that it had launched Jones Soda in the state of Hawaii with Johnson Brothers. With the success of this launch, Johnson Brothers has requested and received the rights to Jones Soda in the states of Iowa and Alabama as well as Orlando, Fla.
Johnson Brothers is a distributor of wine/spirits and new age beverages and is headquartered in St-Paul, Minn. It has distribution centres in selected markets across the United States, including Hawaii, Florida, Iowa and Alabama. Johnson Brothers has annual revenues of approximately $500-million (U.S.) with 1,180 employees.
Johnson Brothers will distribute all flavours of Jones Soda and will provide extensive distribution coverage in the states of Iowa, Alabama, Hawaii and Florida. In addition, Jones Soda will be presented to the major retail chains in these states through Johnson Brothers.
Peter Strahm, vice-president of sales for Urban Juice and Soda stated: "Securing distribution in all four states with such a high-quality distributor as Johnson Brothers will provide great exposure for Jones in these areas. Johnson Brothers has done an excellent job with Jones in Hawaii, and we look forward to expanding their success with Jones in three additional states."
