Bearshark, while i am at the moment a proponent of the scenario you have outlined, there are two things that are materially differing from the situation on 3/1/99. one is the 10-dma of the CBOE put/call ratio - pessimism was greater then as it is now. the other is the transportation average, which looks right now as if it wants to break down. what's your opinion on the transports? do you think a reversal is necessary to support a broader rally, or can we make do for a while without them? regards, hb
