In regards to OEM sales, they result in very little income to the company, and their main use is to spread the product name and increase market share. Potential gains may be seen down the road for upgrade revenue.

If they do OEM deals for their oil change product and charge the users for the service, this could be to their financial benefit.

Regarding an acquisition - who would acquire them? The other companies in the utility industry all have product lines of their own which compete directly with Cybermedia's product (Symantec's Norton Utilities, PC Handyman and Healthy PC, Quarterdeck's FixIt, and now McAfee has their PC Medic). Perhaps a company who wants to get into this highly competitive market would be a possible buyer.
