Katherine,

Yesterday, there was an article in DJ Newswires indicating that foundry capacity is booked at least through next year (In Taiwan).

We've gone from the media reporting about 65% to 75% capacity utilization to this report of overloads at foundries in practically a blink of the eye.

Somehow, I still have the belief that the equipment suppliers will do well in the next couple quarters regardless of ASPs.

And as long as the chip makers get increased productivity and a rapid ramp in demand, the trend of the last 3 decades will probably remain intact for another year or 2. ;-)

Ian.

OT re TLAB thread.

I haven't read the whole exchange. What I have seen would either evoke a response to joej of "yawwwnnnnn...."; or I'd simply ignore him. I'm not sure whether he enjoys being rude; or if he's just intellectually deprived.

P.S. Thanks for the hot investment tip. I'll sell all in the morning and buy electricity futures. Should I go for the SW, NE or just cover the whole country? LOL
