GST,

>> Scenario 3 -- any further deterioration of bond market. Critical.

I would accept this un-critically, except I remembered last week. Do you recall when you acted on this scenario, bought yourself a whole bunch of puts and watched them go to near zero. Only to be rescued by going LONG msft. Go back a little further. Same thing, only the white knight at that time was IBM, again LONG.

This really is becoming like biting the hand that feeds. This business about foreign money leaving has been around for a year. It just so happens that the US treasury needs less refunding. Provided the foreign money exits in an orderly manner at a rate under 200 $billion/year. No problem. What justification is there now for 6.5% yield ? with inflation at 3% ? And with firms like Amazon leading the way in efficient distribution, inflation is a dead issue.

Disclaimer. Someone stole my password and added the plug for amzn.

I have a feeling you'll have to engineer a rescue for your puts pretty soon. Like next Tuesday. That will be just in time to get back into LSI.
