Kevin F. Pickering has been appointed to the position of president and to
the board of directors. Reporting to the board, Mr. Pickering will be
directly responsible for driving the business plan forward to the next
level. Andrew O'Leary will continue in his role as chief executive officer.
SCS Solars' chairman Frank Wells stated: "Kevin's solid experience in
international sales and marketing and his proven track record is a welcome
addition to our growing company. While it was decided to have Kevin come on
board several months ago, he felt it important to concentrate his efforts
on opening the European office before taking over this new position. The
successful opening and the sales results in Europe speak for themselves,
and along with the rest of management, I am pleased Kevin has now agreed to
head up our sales and marketing drive. Kevin's established track record of
building companies by moving them through a steep growth curve is what SCS
Solars requires as we embark on this next phase."
Mr. Pickering added: "SCS Solars is a dynamic company that will become a
global leader in disseminating travel information. We are generating
revenue, building a solid business and are leaders in the delivery of
travel products across every technological medium, worldwide. All the right
elements are in place and now is the time to deliver on management's vision
and to build on the trust and support shown by all our shareholders.
Mr. Pickering's career started in telecommunications in Europe, where he
was directly responsible for establishing one of the first cellular
dealerships in the United Kingdom. A front-runner in developing new market
opportunities, Mr. Pickering has launched several new product concepts in
Europe; among them a highly successful range of Centrex Telecom products
now in use throughout Europe. His international sales and marketing
expertise will further strengthen management and suitably prepare the
company for strong growth.
