SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 1999--TIBCO Software
today announced that it is joining the Cisco Hosted Application
Initiative, aimed at empowering small- to mid-sized companies with the
IT solutions that they previously could not support or afford.
TIBCO Software, a leading supplier of enterprise application
integration solutions, joins an elite group of software application
vendors, service providers, system integrators and technology partners
including to host and deliver a variety of business applications over
the Internet to their customers.

provide its TIB/ActiveEnterprise product suite and consulting services
to ASPs. These consulting services will enable ASPs to implement
world-class architectures for their customer-base that deliver the
integration framework to connect a comprehensive suite of enterprise
applications and support thousands of Small and Medium Enterprises
(SMEs). Also, TIBCO will offer a hosted service called TIBCO.net, an
enterprise-strength portal service that is intended for businesses who
want to tap the real-time and near-real time external sources of
information, such as stock quotes and news and make them available to
their employees, customers and partners.
