Liggett to settle with 22 states- I just heard on the 10:00 p.m. news that Liggett has reached (or is about to reach) a settlement with 22 states suing the tobacco companies. The deal: $25,000,000 + 25% of pre-tax profits over the next 25 years + public declaration of the addictive nature of cigarettes. I hope this news is viewed as a positive for P. Morris.
