It depends on how the contract is written. I haven't visited the revenue recognition stuff for a while, but as I recall if a contract is SIGNED and the software won't require substantial modification, it can (must?) be recognized.

I think business at SEBL and Clarify is strong enough that there's not much channel stuffing going on. Everyone is also asking about VNTV (cause it's cheap), yet my channel contacts keep talking about them coming in third.

Oracle is a different case, once they book a deal, they can allocate the license revenue to any category they want. That's why shege properly asked the question about whether honest larry has any stand alone and referenceable CRM customers.
