My personal opinion on this is that the highest quality stocks will do the best over time, particularly when risk is considered. In the past I have sometimes made the mistake of buying the stock within a sector that has fallen the hardest, reasoning that it will rebound the most. That COULD happen, but when the downside risk is weighed in, the higher quality stocks, in my opinion are the safer route to good profits, over the LONG TERM.

I own CSCC and CSCO. I wish I had the money to buy INTC. Although CSCO is the higher quality of the two networking stocks, I feel, in this case that CSCC has more upside potential, but considerably more risk, particularly over the short - intermediate term.
