Can you imagine if China built an entire IP telephony infrastructure for the masses.. Gary you are a dreamer. China has already made huge commitment to ATM infrastructure, and is buying as we speak. They have also very large infrastructure of TDM, and as poor country is not going to dump it. Pure IP can not migrate TDM to packet based network. Again, we are back to real world where both packet technology(IP,ATM)have and will co-exist. ATM can carry IP , but not reverse. Regards Zbyslaw
