Joe I buy fundamentals and time the buys and sells using TA. There are 3 elements to consider, the market, the fundamentals and the technicals. The market can be predicted easier because its an index.. and harder to paint, however it panics.. in mass histeria. the fundamentals is by far the most difficult criteria to get a model on.. but it will keep you in a trade long term and help you over short term market reversals.. the technicals can be faked and are also much more difficult and subtle to interpret. ie; they are subject to news and news is chaos and it disrupts the mathematical integrity of the model.. when chaos strikes again fundamentals and sentiment are required to make wise decisions.. No one is immune from trouble but the harder you work on a trade the luckier you tend to get.. In FONR's case there is a lot to analyze to get a fundamental model and it takes time other than analysts projections it really takes time to get a picture of the fundamentals.. the analysts projections are wrong 30-40% of the time or more.. and these guys are profesionals.. luis
