I'm long ELBO also. The opportunity that I see is with more powerful processors comming into game hardware will stimulate game users upgade both hardware and software. Additionally we are seeing population growth in the in age groups under 18yrs of age which should continue to create additional demand for electronic games, i.e. good short and long term demographics. Lastly ELBO continues to sucessfully improve their penitration through store growth and e-commerce sales.
While the discount retailers will take their piece of the market (and benifit), I would tend to believe that the upgrade opportunities will tend to represent the "more hard core gamer" who will tend to visit a EB store (due to inventory, availability of titles and expertice) as compared to a convience shopper.
Anyway I find it difficult to find negatives with ELBO and believe that even in a slowing economy that the market for electronic games will be a bit more robust as compared to other products of commerce.
Best Regards,
Mad2
