Better get mocked as too good to be true than as too false to be good...

Anyway, here's a recap of the ''love affair'' between Germans and Turkish immigrants since the early 1990s (depressing!):
bsos.umd.edu

I wanted to show you an interesting article from BusinessWeek Intl. Edition (a 1999 issue) that reported that, overall, Turks are contributing positively to the German economy, that is they've maintained a credit balance in their favor (unfortunately, it's ''subscribers only''). The reason being that most Turkish workers are self-employed in SMEs and, as such, have to stick to ''the bottom line''. But perhaps MNI could explain to us why Germans nourish such a wrong prejudice toward their Turkish immigrants: all the statistics feature the Turks as positive contributors, yet Germans still depict them as welfare profiteers --go figure!

Regards,
Gustave.
