Do you have any experience with the Pacific Crest analyst for other companies? Something tells me I've been there before with Pacific Crest and they were WAY optimistic... unfortunately I can't remember the stock involved.

Also I suspect that if excite were still independent it would have a mkt cap much lower than the 7 billion they used to have. Excite was one of the "low content" portals (I thought?), as opposed to gnet and cnet that have some hot sites in addition to a search engine. I think generic portals peaked right about when @home acquired them... some of the writeups on the media metrix numbers wrote about that, where new internet users tended to rely on the portals but once you are on they aren't that sticky. (Just my views!)
